When we arrived at the Park our Park Wardens Dan and Keith talked to us about the rules.
Dan showed us a big hole where a rabbit and her babies lived.
Next we pretended we were squirrels and looked for the fir cones they like to eat. Then we buried them in safe places. We learnt this is what squirrels do so that they have enough food for the winter.
As we walked through the park Dan found a newt. It was very small!
We had a minibeast hunt. We looked under stones, tiles and logs to see what we could find. Then we put them in 2 boxes so everyone could see. We found woodlice, slugs, snails and even a toad!!
After all that hard work we had our lunch. Before we ate we made sure we had washed our hands really well.
Finally. before we went back to school we had a play in the adventure playground. The slide was very fast!!
