Blog news

Please note that we will not be posting any more photos on the blog until after Christmas as from now on we will be very busy practising for our christmas concert and making christmas cards and crafts which are all of course a big secret!!!
Also there will be no indoor PE for the rest of this term as we need our timetabled hall use for practising the concert. Therefore no kit is needed to be brought to school - many thanks.

Children in need

We had a wonderful day on Friday raising lots of money for 'Children in need'. All of the school got together for a special assembly where we had a very special visitor - PUDSEY BEAR. The merit award winners got to shake his hand too! Lots of the teachers did funny things like singing, dancing and putting their face in shaving foam!

Then we spent the rest of the day doing fun activities - colouring, cutting and sticking, making Pudsey cookies and decorating them, mixing rice crispy cakes and playing Pudsey games on the computers!

THANK YOU FOR DONATING TO CHILDREN IN NEED - WE RAISED A LOT OF MONEY!

'The Gruffalo's child'

Last week we read another Julia Donaldson story - 'The Gruffalo's child'. We made beautiful clay models of the characters which we are going to paint this week, we coloured in pictures from the story and put the story in the correct order using numbers.

PE using apparatus

This is Mrs Carter's class on the indoor apparatus. They are practising travelling in different ways over 4 stations. A bell rings to tell them when to stop and move on to the next station.

ICT suite

We went to the infant ICT suite this week to create fantastic bonfire night pictures. We had to concentrate carefully in order to control the mouse and put our splashes of colour onto a black background. Mums and dads will get to see our lovely creations in our books and some pictures have gone on display in the ICT suite.

PE

We wanted to remind everyone to bring PE kit (blue shorts/white t-shirt) on our PE days (Mon for Mrs Carter, Thurs for Mrs Abel). This is for indoor PE. If it happens to be a beautiful day we will do PE outside which the children do not change for. HOWEVER please bring kit in every time as the decision will be made on the morning. Many thanks.

This is Mrs Abel's class using their gross motor skills to pedal, push, scoot, run and climb!!
