This week was the first time we had taken home our 'weekend boxes'. These will be given out every Friday to three children in each of the classes. Each child can put into the box things that represent what they did during the weekend e.g. cinema ticket, leaf from a walk etc. On Monday morning they bring them back and use the items to help them show & tell their weekend news. This activity develops the childrens' skills in oracy and encourages them to speak in front of the whole class. As you can see the children in Mrs Abel's class were very proud of their weekend boxes and loved sharing their news!!
