Mathematical Skills

This week we have been comparing two numbers and finding out which is more and which is less. We have been involved in lots of practical activities. This one shows the children working in pairs picking up 2 numbers and working out who has more and who has less. We then worked in our books colouring in the correct number for more and for less.

During our woodland wellie walk the children were keen to compare leaves and used vocabulary longer/shorter/taller and bigger/smaller.

The children enjoyed matching the correct number of pegs to each numeral/

The children enjoy visiting the computer suite. They used their mouse skills to clig and drag missing numbers into the sequence.
