We have had lots of fun with this week's theme of fireworks!
In Dance we listened to music by Holst and Stravinsky and then made up firework moves. First of all we warmed up by playing the Mister Man game. We remembered our tall and short vocabulary. Then we turned into popping and sparkling fireworks!
Communication skills - wider communication.
We had lots of fun outside making firework pictures out of junk materials. First of all we collected all the materials and chose the ones that we wanted to use. Then we cut, glued and stuck the materials to make the firework shapes. Finally we laid them all on a big piece of paper. Reception's very own firework display!
Thinking skills - plan and develop.
We also used Splash on 2Simple Paint to create firework pictures. We loved choosing the brightest colours to use.ICT skills - create and present.
We made more pictures using paint powder on damp black paper. We concentrated very hard to make sure that we were flicking the powder to make lots of different firework patterns.Thinking skills - plan and develop.
