PSDCDWB/K&U Our visit to Bryngarw House

What a lovely time we had at Bryngarw House this week. Our park wardens (Keith & Dan) were very helpful and told us lots of interesting facts and stories about the park. We went on a woodland walk and saw lots of wonderful things.

Our first stop was the duck pond.

We pretended to be squirrels and searched for our hidden food

Then we hid the food again to keep it safe!

Next Dan told us all about this funny looking fellow. We wonder if the children can remember his name?
This American Redwood tree went a long, long way up. Keith told us all about the owl who lives in it.

This is the oldest tree in the park. Can you see the bear's face?

We arrived at the 'nature garden' and Dan explained to us that we were going on a minibeast hunt. We had to look under special tiles and pieces of wood and put what we found in a plastic tray.

We looked really carefully!

We found worms, snails, slugs, woodlice

We even found a toad! Some of us stroked it - Ellie-Mai told us that it felt like jelly!

Our final stop was the playground! We had loads of fun!

At the end of the day we were all a bit wet and very tired so had a quiet journey back to school.
