This week in dance we created movements that showed how a seed grows. First we watched a video of a seed turning into a plant and talked about what the seed needed to grow. Then we thought of different actions to show all the different things that happen to a seed as it grows. First our roots appeared, then a little shoot, then the stem began to grow and finally the leaves and flowers burst into bud. Some children pretended to be gardeners and went round and watered the growing plants. The seeds refused to grow until they'd been watered!
