Our smartest giant in town's journey

This week we went on a journey to the shops just like George the giant had done in the story 'The smartest giant in town'. We went to see if we could find a shop where George could buy his smart clothes from.
First of all we got into pairs and put on our reflective jackets. We needed to use our listening ears and our eyes to keep us safe.

On the way we saw the rubbish men and passed lots of houses, a church and a house that is now turned into a shop!

We asked if George could buy a tie, shirt, trousers, belt, socks or shoes in this shop? If not, we discussed what we could buy in each shop.

Yes was the answer when we got to the 'community shop'! We found a shirt, tie, trousers in the window and Mrs Abel and Mrs Carter told us we would find everything else George would need inside.

We all crossed safely on the zebra crossings and headed back to school. Mrs Carter & Mrs Abel were delighted with how well we had listened on our journey.
