Our Diamond Jubilee Celebrations

We started our jubilee celebrations early this week! On Wednesday we thought about the changes we see when we make jelly! Then on Thursday we saw what the final change was after we had put it in the fridge overnight! The best bit was when we ate our jelly with some ice-cream - scrummy! We then made some gorgeous strawberry jam tarts to have at our party on Friday.....

On Friday morning Mrs Abel showed us a powerpoint to help us understand what the Diamond Jubilee is all about and why we are celebrating it. We loved finding out all about our Queen.

Sanna came in to celebrate too :)

We even got to send a message to the Queen! We thought carefully about what we wanted to say to her and Mrs Abel typed it - we're looking forward to receiving an email back from Buckingham Palace - watch this space after half term...

We all looked wonderful in our red, white and blue and Friday afternoon was great fun! The whole school went onto the yard and played games and ate lots of lovely food including our home made jam tarts.

The winners of musical statues!!

and the winners of musical bumps!!

Can you spot the fantastic crowns we made?

A fantastic Diamond Jubilee Celebration!
Have a lovely half term!
