In PE this week we remembered how important it is to warm up our muscles and bodies before we do any activity. Here we are pretending to be cars that have to stop when the traffic lights are on red, slow down by walking when the light turns yellow and run when the light is green! We are very careful to steer around each other so we don't crash!
After we had warmed up we listened to Mrs Abel strike the African drum to 4 beats and then listened to the instructions she gave e.g. forward 2,3,4; back 2,3,4; side 2,3,4; turn 2,3,4. She then mixed up all the commands so that we made a sequence all the time listening carefully to the beat of the drum.
After all our exercise we then made sure we cooled down.
When Mrs Abel tickled the back of our knees we lined up quietly ready to go back to the classroom and change out of our PE kit.
