Finland and China

This week the children in Pontyclun have been travelling
around and learning about different countries. In Reception
we visited Finland and China. The children have had a very
busy week and have been so well behaved. They have had a lot
of fun and so have all the staff. Here are some photos of the
activities for you to enjoy.

We found out all about Finland on Monday and Tuesday.
We learnt about the animals and the climate. We made flags
and masks. We baked reindeer cookies and found out about
Santa's home in Lapland.

On Wednesday and Thursday we went to China.
We found out how different their schools were
and made Lanterns and flags. We dressed up and
tried using chopsticks. We learnt about the Great Wall
of China and the festivals.

On Friday we had a celebration with nursery
and tried some food from Finland and China.
We said 'Thank you' in Finnish 'Kiitos'

We did some ribbon dancing to Chinese music
after our party with nursery.
